Today I was bad.

I got ahold of a Carter's coupon & sort of had a temporary hormonal surge that made me think I could spend a lot of money on clothing for the twins. I just told Jon acout it, and he isn't too mad, but that's probably because I ended up getting some "help" to cover the costs, too. But it was so much fun to buy matching outfits. Soooooo much fun. A little too much fun! I can see I am going to have to curb my enthusiasm rather quickly, though.

Speaking of shopping, I also have my first order of diapers in from my friend Zaira's store. I have another installment coming towards the end of June & I am so excited. I am still uncertain as to how many diapers I will need for these boys, but I am sure it's a lot.

The Names

We have decided on the boys' names! Cameron Dean will be born first and Jameson Richard will be the youngest. We will call them Cam and Jamie (not Cam and Jam, like Grandpa Miller suggests!)

Don't Buy Pink!

The babies are looking great! Both appear healthy. Heartbeats were 146 and 152. They were each measuring 3-7 days ahead & were approximately 6 inches long and 5 oz. Baby A is breech, so hopefully that baby will flip so I can deliver vaginally. Baby A is the one closest to the cervix, so they are the twin that determines how I can deliver. We got 70 photos and a 30 minute DVD. I've decided that it's too time consuming to edit the DVD into little snippets, so I will just post some pics. I wish she would have gotten a still pic of the two of them together. On the DVD, you can see how they are both sort of laying right on top of each other.

The tech guarantees that they are both 100% not-shy boys :)







Money Shots!









Jon & I are still going back and forth on names. We know that the middle names will be after our fathers (Richard and either Warren or Dean- my dad goes by his middle name, too). I gave Jon the responsibility of choosing from the 4 that we both like, because I like them all equally. Those names are: Austin, Jameson (Jamie), Cameron and Noah. He said he will decide by this weekend.

I'm a little bummed that I will not have a girl, but we've already been imagining our household as the boys grow up & I think it will be a lot of fun. We've already tossed around ideas like they can do all of the yardwork for us, they could be the next Jonas brothers or they could all be high school jocks... it's been fun to daydream!

Appt Update

I forgot to update after my appointment last week. I think I was too busy trying to get ready for our last Babymoon to Vegas that I forgot.

I gained 2 pounds in 4 weeks (I'm supposed to gain 1 lb to 1 1/2 lbs a week), and my blood pressure was good.

I will start cervical ultrasounds at 17 weeks (June 3rd) & then they will monitor the length of my cervix every 2 weeks via ultrasound from there on out. Hopefully, there won't be any changes & I won't have to go on bedrest. They are watching me closely because of the LEEP I had in 2005 & because I had some preterm labor episodes with Corbin which required terbutaline.

My next visit for the babies will be to the special ultrasound place a week from tomorrow. We are having a gender scan done on the 20th, at 15 weeks, 2 days. Incidentally, that is the exact same day (by gestation) that we had Corbin's gender scan. Jon is pulling for 2 of the same gender, and I am pulling for one of each; however, I am happy with 2 healthy babies.

I also found both heartbeats on the doppler last night for the first time. One was measuring about 10 beats per minute lower than the other one.

TWINS!

The tech did the u/s abdominally. Immediately, the two sacs popped up. It was silent for a few seconds. I said, "There's not two, are there?" The tech said quietly, "Yes. I was wondering if you were going to notice that."

And I started to sob hysterically.

Jon was very calm. I was and still am quite shocked. I have all of these questions running through my head, but I am trying not to stress out/freak out.

Baby A's heartbeat was 176. Baby B's was 172, and s/he was wiggling around her little arm & leg buds. It was really cute.

NB Diapers!

Today, Jon & I were running errands & Corbin fell asleep. He had only been asleep 1 hour, so we didn't want to take him home yet & risk transferring him & waking him (he usually takes 2-3 hr naps). So my Jon says, "Why don't you go to that baby store you like & get some NB diapers?" Um, okay! I wasn't planning to get any until we knew the gender, so I decided to get neutral ones. I'll get girly or boyish covers later for them.

And while I was there, I saw these GroBaby diapers & had the girl give me a demo on them. They just got them in yesterday. They were pretty cool. It's like a BG OS, but it's also like a cover with these inserts that aren't stuffed. IDK how to describe it, so look here: Gro Baby

I will have to go back & get the baby some if I can find any good reviews of them. I won't do any more shopping though until after we see a HB. When Jon is in the mood to buy diapers, I just couldn't pass it up!
