The tech did the u/s abdominally. Immediately, the two sacs popped up. It was silent for a few seconds. I said, "There's not two, are there?" The tech said quietly, "Yes. I was wondering if you were going to notice that."

And I started to sob hysterically.

Jon was very calm. I was and still am quite shocked. I have all of these questions running through my head, but I am trying not to stress out/freak out.

Baby A's heartbeat was 176. Baby B's was 172, and s/he was wiggling around her little arm & leg buds. It was really cute.

NB Diapers!

Today, Jon & I were running errands & Corbin fell asleep. He had only been asleep 1 hour, so we didn't want to take him home yet & risk transferring him & waking him (he usually takes 2-3 hr naps). So my Jon says, "Why don't you go to that baby store you like & get some NB diapers?" Um, okay! I wasn't planning to get any until we knew the gender, so I decided to get neutral ones. I'll get girly or boyish covers later for them.

And while I was there, I saw these GroBaby diapers & had the girl give me a demo on them. They just got them in yesterday. They were pretty cool. It's like a BG OS, but it's also like a cover with these inserts that aren't stuffed. IDK how to describe it, so look here: Gro Baby

I will have to go back & get the baby some if I can find any good reviews of them. I won't do any more shopping though until after we see a HB. When Jon is in the mood to buy diapers, I just couldn't pass it up!

First Dr Visit

It was last Friday, and it was just a nurse visit! Corbin & Ethan were okay during it all, but they got a little whiney towards the end. They drew the 5 viles of blood that they require for prenatal bloodwork. We also set up my first OB appt & ultrasound for next Weds., April 8th. I just pray we find a heartbeat & that the growth is right on track. I was so glad that she didn't weigh me, although i know that I have already gained 5 lbs. I ended up gaining 12 pounds in the first trimester with Corbin b/c that is when my cravings are the worst. I guess probably b/c of the raging hormones.

My cravings so far are tangy, sweet/sour sauces, cold cheese, chocolate milk (that craving has passed & it now sounds gross).

I am having a little bit of tightening that worries me. I probably need to drink more water. I can't start Braxton Hicks this early- that's scary.

Having morning sickness pretty much every day, although still no throwing up. At least I know something's going on still.

I am showing a little bit in normal clothing, but I haven't gotten out my maternity clothing yet. As soon as I see a heartbeat, that's my cue!

In Case You're Still Wondering...

I'm still pregnant. I'm nearly 6 weeks along.



Now the test line stole all of the control line's dye b/c I am so pregnant :)
I've been doing belly shots again. Just for fun, I decided to "stick it out" as far as I could. I discovered I could look 6 months pregnant if I wanted to. I guess that's what happens when you already have 1 under your belt.

BFP!

I've been waiting and waiting to post this, but we hadn't told all family yet, and so it had to wait until now.

We got our BFP on Thursday, February 26th at 10 DPO. It was very faint, but my trained eye is very good at seeing even a light positive result.



I showed Jon, but he couldn't quite make it out like I could. So, when he went to work, I headed out to the drugstore to get a digital (or two) test. Within a minute, both brands confirmed what I already knew in my heart:



So, our new baby that we are cautiously expecting is due November 9th, 2009. My first appointment is Friday, March 27th, and then we will have the ultrasound the following week. Please pray for a heatbeat!

This will be the new baby's blog. I am affectionately calling my new baby, "sticky bean" for now, because I am thinking positively.

I've had many pg symptoms, but not the same ones this time around, so far. They say every pregnancy is different. No true cravings yet, but meat sounds gross, unless it's full of salt. That might be okay. I just woke up from an hour and a half nap, so maybe the real fatigue is setting in now, too.
